I had the good fortune to initially meet up with Jason Improta when I noticed the number plate “IMPROTA” on his car while I was stopped next to him at a red light. I had been contemplating either selling or renting my house in Calabasas for several months, and so I there and then invited him to come over and give me some advice.
Jason and Missy both come over later that day, and right away I felt absolutely comfortable and relaxed with this delightfully friendly, knowledgeable and professional couple. I told them immediately that I had not yet made the decision to sell, and that I might consider renovating and simply leasing out my house until I had made up my mind.
The most significant thing for me about that meeting and all the subsequent meetings and conversations that we had over the next 18 months was that neither Jason nor Missy ever once pressured me to make a decision. They remained in contact with me, periodically checking in to see how I was doing, offering advice and suggestions regarding the current market situation, as well as ideas and counsel if I wished to lease out the house.
Once I finally decided to pursue the sale of my house (in January 2025), the Improtas took care of everything. And I do mean EVERYTHING! Missy is unbelievably resourceful - if you’re looking for a plumber, an electrician, a roofer, a painter, a gardener, a contractor, or anyone whom you might need to take care of any problem around your house - Missy will have their number. And they will show up, and be on time, and take care of the problem.
As it happened, I got a signed offer to purchase for the HIGHEST PRICE EVER in my community 5 days before I was due to leave on a previously arranged overseas trip. I have no doubt that without Missy and Jason taking care of business while I was away for five weeks, the sale would not have taken place. The Improtas took care of everything while I was away. Missy made sure that all the legal issues were dealt with, the various contractors were paid, all the documents were dealt with, and the entire sale transaction took place without a hitch. Escrow closed on time without any delays. A motivated seller and a keen buyer were united in a flawless and smooth transaction, all thanks to Missy’s and Jason’s professionalism and expertise.
